This tune is called 'Blues in A' written by J Tucker and is taken from the Mozo Island Beginner's Guitar Course. Which will shortly be available in the Ebook format.
Here are some videos from the Rock Class sessions this summer.
These sessions were for some of the children who have progressed through the Music School material individually and were ready to work in groups.
Mozo Island Music School course material is ideal for beginner children, and covers guitar and keyboard. The events use this material and supports the needs of other instrumentalists and singers.
The Video here shows a rehearsal of Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes before a performance to parents.
You can see that the kids all had a really good time, even though there are mistakes here and there.

This is a short report from the course which ran for a week in putney – West London.
Here are some of the kids using the website in a group rehearsal. They were playing along to the music whilst following the notation on the smartboard.
They found it a fun and easy way to try new instruments, and play with others at the same time.
Everyone was a beginner, so everyone made mistakes at the start but it didn’t matter.
In this group there were 5 or 6 children on the keyboards and the same number on the guitars. After they played a tune for a few times, they all switched over to try the same tune but on a different instrument.
Here are some of the children performing on the last day. They wanted to show their friends and parents what they had been learning earlier in the week.
The children had a chance to perform to each other a few times each day, so the younger ones could see what the older ones had been doing.
Some of the other activities which the children did were to make a jigsaw using the fruit characters from the website…
…..and design a performance outfit for the beach club.
We look forward to seeing you soon at one of the next events, or drop by the site and leave us a message at the Visitor Centre!
